Old tune brought the transmission back. Tstat fixed the overheating. On the test hit through third the alternator fried every internal part at 120mph. Used the 160amp powder coated alternator as a core. That hurt a bit. But I've driven the car a couple of hours now in the heat. Besides being a wuss and thinking about putting the AC back on the car. It's doing pretty good. Valve covers leak worse now, but hey it only smoke for a little while. ha

It could still use a better tune. Maybe someday I can data log it and get Don to send me a new one.

I'm already considering throwing in the 3.73s. lmao But I think I'll drive it to work for a while and see how it does.

Been driving in the heat for a few hours around Springfield. Still doing good. Hot starts are a little rough still but she's running. So I'm not complaining.

I told you that you would miss that A/C. Glad to hear it's doing well though!

The car was headed a different direction back then. Thinking about adding it back for two little boys. We will see after I take them for their first real drive. Ear muffs are in the car. lol

Thanks. I'll keep that in mind. I should still have everything. I'll price a dryer at work. I doubt I do this until this winter or next spring. I just got the car running. I need to start working on the truck.

New idea on the fun rocker issues and dreaded 5,000+ rpm cutting out. Hopefully I can change out some parts when they arrive Friday and get back on the road soon.
