Going back to Reeves

Postby ponypowered91 » September 6th, 2015, 1:20 pm

I guess this counts as a review. Best place I saw fit to put it.

1. Alignment wasn't too expensive. $52

2. Tire mounting and balancing was RIDICULOUSLY expensive. Mitchell's Mobil 1 on 24th and Rangeline 3 blocks from my house quoted $10/wheel. That's removing and disposing of old tires, mounting new tires, AND balancing. That's $40 for 4 wheels, BUT they don't do alignments and I wanted it done all at once. Reeves was $26/wheel. $104. I spent double on mounting and balancing as an alignment. I made the mistake of not asking the mount/balance price beforehand. If an alignment was only $52 (where other places are $90+) I assumed it would be cheaper.

3. My wheels are now damaged. Not just chips from the tire iron, I mean there's that, but the paint is also damaged and ruined where they cleaned the inside of the wheel to use stick-on weights for the balancing. Now there are stripped spots on all 4 wheels.

nothing they used should have stripped the wheels like that. I could only guess that something got spilled on the wheel, looks like the wheels where painted but not clear coated. Sure its not the glue from the weights?

Wisemans mounted and balanced the truck wheels for 15/ wheel. and alignments over here are $42-$49 all day long no matter where you go (2 wheel alignment price). The $90 price sounds like they are doing a 4 wheel alignment, which you car doesn't need anyways, but they may have not been familiar enough with the 300 to know that.

It's primered, basecoat, and clearcoat. Doesn't matter what chemical it was, it happened in their shop and SOMEONE should have noticed.

Nope. They'll be open tomorrow. I plan for them to know exactly how I feel about their lack of attention and poor choice of screwing up my wheels.
